A weekend drive & the apple festivle

This past weekend Joseph took Liam and I on a beautiful drive over the Grand Mesa to see the gorgeous fall colors! One of my favorite things about fall is the colors. I love when hills look like a quilt of green, yellow, orange, and red. And the colors are so vivid! I’m glad that we decided to go that weekend, because some of the trees were already dropping their leaves since we already had a freeze. Luckily, a lot of the trees were still very colorful. Liam napped most of the way, so Joseph and I got to talk and listen to some Charley Pride as we drove past the colorful trees. Liam woke up and we pulled over to stretch our legs and get Liam out of his car for a bit. He enjoyed looking around and being outside.

We piled back in the car and finished the drive over the mountain and drove into Cedaredge. We parked our car and loaded Liam up in his stroller and headed down to the Apple Festival. We enjoyed looking at the old motorcycles, apples, and the booths that were buzzing with people. Liam LOVED riding in his stroller and it was so nice to get out and walk. It was a beautiful October day! Joseph and I enjoyed a funnel cake together and, of course, picked up some yummy Honey Crisp apples as we headed for home…
